True Prosperity-Money Changes Hands, should not Change Us

True Prosperity-Money Changes Hands, should not Change Us
True Prosperity-Money Changes Hands, should not Change Us

Someone once said some wise words about money: โ€˜money changes hands however we should ensure that it does not change usโ€™. In fact if people say you are made of money then you should work on your personality and let Christ be your main defining factor. We need to ensure that wealth is not our primary goal rather eternity with Christ should be our main pursuit.

In the book of Mark, Christ told a young ruler to sell all his possessions, give it to the poor and follow Him. Unfortunately, the man went away sorrowful for he had great possessions. Christ then told the disciples how hard it is for those who have riches to enter the Kingdom of God.

We need to understand that Jesus has nothing against wealth itโ€™s when we value anything higher than Him that grieves him. We can work hard and make money, but when those things are the main pursuit of life then we place Christ at the back. Placing Jesus Christ first and foremost in our lives is the key to true prosperity.

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.โ€
