As followers of Christ, our aim is to be Christ like in what we do. To become like him we need to follow certain principles that will enable us to become well rounded and fully grounded Christians. To grow, we need to be in constant communication with God through prayer and we are able to express gratitude to Him, confess our sins and come to him with our requests.
Secondly, we need to be obedient to God’s commands as it is an indicator of our love for Him. We should therefore yield to Him and rely on the Holy Spirit to give us the strength to walk in obedience. Thirdly, our devotion to God needs to be continuous by worshipping Him with our whole being.
We need to realize that the good news we have received should not be kept to ourselves but is to be shared and this can be done through evangelizing. Finally, we need to read the word of God as it feeds our spiritual muscles. Today, let us aim to grow in these angles of life in our spiritual walk with God.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”
