Word of the Day: A passion for Those Around Us

What are you passionate about? The Apostle Paulโ€™s passion in life was largely driven by concern for the eternal destiny of others. In the book of Corinthians, he names three things that fueled his passion. First, he recognized that he was accountable to Christ for his service, secondly he was driven by Christโ€™s love and thirdly, he understood that a lost and dying world needs a savior.

Someone once said, twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didnโ€™t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the things that hold you back and sail away from the safe harbor. Explore. Dream. Discover.

As believers we are called to share the love of Christ with those around us. Our passion for people should be fueled by the love of Christ. Today, letโ€™s us ask God to stir our hearts to reach out to the hopeless and broken around us.

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.โ€
