The number one strategy that the devil likes to use on people is making them feel like they don’t belong. He makes us feel like we are defective and stained. It also doesn’t help when worldly voices try to influence us. They put us down and make us feel like we don’t measure up to the world’s standards. For men especially, they are lied to that they have to have money and certain possessions to be recognized and for us women, it is even worse. We are lied to that we have to look a certain way to be beautiful otherwise, we are ugly and nobody will accept us for who we are. This is why women go out of their way to fit into the world’s standards; plastic surgery, bleaching pills and lotions, and other adverse ways to change ourselves are just reactions to these worldly lies.
Jesus is the truth. He came to reveal to us who we are and mostly, who we are in him. He made you as you are and said “it is good.” You are one of a kind; you are not defective or ugly or strange. God made you as you are for a reason and he has planned a wonderful life for you but only if you get in sync with his will, will you discover the greatness hidden in you.
God knows the plan he has for you, a plan to prosper you and not to harm you. Do not listen to the world for they too are insecure and lost. Feed on God’s word and be secure in who you are. God put you here for a reason and for us believers, we get inklings of that reason as we pursue the Lord; for you non-believers, you will never know why you are here until you know the Lord Jesus and therefore, you will never find true fulfillment. Get to know him today; it will change your life.
