Last Saturday saw a melting pot of cultures as lovebirds Lydia Wachuka Nyoike and Benjamin Boyer said ‘I Do’ at the St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Kimunyu, Gatundu district.
Lydia looked every inch the African princess as she walked down the aisle to be united in marriage with Benjamin.
Former first lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta and the East African Community director of Trade Peter Nginga Kiguta were among the hundreds of guests who witnessed the ceremony. Kiguta also spoke on behalf of the bride’s family.
A fun-filled and colourful reception followed at the Maria Polis Centre along the Thika Super Highway.
Lydia is the daughter to prominent Gatundu businessman James Nyoike Kariuki while Benjamin is the son of Mr and Mrs Michael Povisen of Nogstved Denmark.
