Police Commission annuls police recruitment in 36 centres The National Police Service Commission has annulled police recruitment done in 36 centres due to malpractices during the exercise.
Upto 1, 215 recruits will be affected by the order announced on Tuesday by the Commission’s chairman Johnston Kavuludi.
“Some of the recruitment centres fell short of the standards set by the National Police Service Commission. Thirty six centres where the exercise was conducted have been annulled,” said Mr Kavuludi.
The commission will set a new date for fresh recruitment in the affected centres.
“Any person who was recruited in the centres should consider their recruitment null and void,” he said.
The 36 centres include Tana Delta sub-county, Mandera East, Merti DC headquarters, Kinoru stadium, Umau grounds, Njabini, Othaya stadium, Njoro police station, Narok stadium, Kandara Stadium, Kimilili Amtala sports centre and Amagoro Primary school.
Police officers who were in charge of the recruitment in the affected centres will be investigated and those found culpable be dealt with by their respective heads.
