ICC cases against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will flop, a Roysambu-based televangelist has said.
Bishop Edward Mwai of Jesus Winner Ministry said the two leaders are humble before God and have always sought His guidance.
“I am confident that God is in control. All will be well very soon,” Mwai said.
The bishop was speaking during a crusade he held at Githurai 44 on Sunday.
A source at State House told the Star that Uhuru consults widely with men of God including Mwai.
Mwai said that Uhuru contacted him via phone for consultations and prayer before travelling to his ICC status conference last week. Uhuru is facing charges of crimes against humanity following the 2007-2008 post election violence.
“This is a confirmation that the leader of this country has confidence in God,” Mwai said.
Ruto has reportedly attended several thanksgiving services at Mwai’s church in Roysambu.
It is also said that Mwai anointed Uhuru and Ruto and prophesied that they would become president and deputy president respectively. A source at the church said this prophecy made the leaders have confidence in the church.
On January 1, Mwai prophesied that the cases against Uhuru and Ruto would flop. He also predicted that more fuel deposits would be discovered in the country and that nations that had severed ties with Kenya because of the ICC cases would change their stance.
