An officer attached to Nguni police post shot himself on the altar of the area’s Nations Revival Church after his night duty on Tuesday.
Moses Maloi who shot himself in the chin because of his wife’s alleged infidelity left a note.
“Joel, huyo bibi nimekuachia. OCPD na OCS, kwaherini tumefanya kazi vizuri (Joel, I have left my wife behind for you. Goodbye OCPD and OCS, we worked well together,” says the note.
OCPD Gideon Mugambi and DCC Jacob Ruto declined to give further details on the incident, redirecting the matter to area chief Simon Mulae.
Mulae said Maloi had family problems. He reportedly ignored his wife when she went to visit him at the police post two weeks ago.
His body was taken to Mwingi mortuary.
