Victor Wanyama intends to ship home his Range Rover SUV from the UK, days after the vehicle was stolen from his home in Winchester, England and later recovered by the Police, Nairobi News can reveal.
According to a close family member, the Harambee Stars captain has since been handed back the vehicle by the police but the Southampton midfielder is taking no chance with his expensive ride.
“Victor had long planned to ship the car to Kenya for his personal use even before the (burglary) incident happened. But he is now fast-tracking the plans because he recently bought another car which he is now using,” the family member revealed.
MOVING HOUSES
Wanyama is also in the process of inviting his siblings to the UK to assist him in moving houses to a more secure neighbourhood.
In importing the range, the Southampton midfielder will be following in the footsteps of his elder brother Macdonald Mariga, who also imported a Sh 14 million Cardillac Escalade from Milan, Italy two years ago.
Burglars broke into Harambee Stars captain’s house ten days ago and made away with property worth millions of shillings including the vehicle in question which was however recovered within 24 hours.
