Kenyans in the Washington DC area are preparing to officially welcome Ambassador Robinson Githae.

A team of community leaders, influencers, and well-meaning Kenyans have formed a committee that has been organizing the reception.

At the heart of this effort is also the need to set the diaspora agenda that would allow for Ambassador Githae and his administration to work productively with the diaspora in his backyard.

A shared concern is enabling voting for the entire diaspora in the coming elections.

Three of the committee members who paid him a courtesy call gave him a brief of the ethos of the diaspora in the DC area and requested that he prepare to share his engagement plan with the diaspora at the reception.

We look forward to a great partnership between diaspora and the new administration at the DC Embassy.
