Four MPs record statements over claims of plotting to kill Dagoretti MPNairobi, Kenya: Four Members of Parliament recorded statements with the police Wednesday evening over allegations of a plot to kill their Dagoretti North colleague Simba Arati.

The leaders are Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Nominated MP Johnson Sakaja, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa and Nominated Senator Beth Mugo.

Police say they are still investigating the allegations.

“I have not visited Sakaja’s office since October 2014. I do not know where Musikari Kombo’s place is… accordingly, it is impossible and incorrect to allege that I attended the said meetings,” Kuria said after recording his statement at Kilimani Police Station.

Aratiโ€™s security has been enhanced after he made the claims.

Kilimani OCPD Peter Katam said they are investigating the claims.
