President Uhuru Kenyatta took the standard eight pupil who cried after shaking his hand on a tour of State House on Monday evening.
Esther Mwikali and her friend Pauline Keziah’s treat followed the 52nd Madaraka Day celebrations at Nyayo National Stadium.
Mwikali and Keziah, who attend Katulu Primary School, also sat in the President’s chair.
Mwikali first met Uhuru on last Wednesday while he was on his way from Tala, Machakos where he launched the Last Mile Connectivity Project.

“Help me become a president like you sir,” she told Uhuru with tears in her eyes.
