Francis Ireri, a 66 year old Kenyan man, was found dead and his body badly decomposed in his Roxbury apartment near Boston, with authorities struggling to find the next of kin to claim the body.
According to state authorities, the late Ireri was found dead by Boston police last week on Monday October 26 following reports by neighbors who grew suspicious of the foul smell coming from his apartment.
Authorities are urging any Kenyan or friend out there who may happen to know the late Ireri or his family back in Kenya to contact them and help identify who will claim the body for burial.
Officials further said that no form of photo identification was recovered from the body or his apartment and had to rely on dental records to make a positive identification of the name and nationality.
