Residents of Naivasha on Saturday held more demonstrations against a nominated Jubilee Senator over remarks he made against the Deputy President William Ruto.

The protesters were angered by Paul Njoroge who claimed that Mount Kenya region will not vote for the DP during 2022 General Election.

Demonstrators who were drawn from the home region of the Senator demanded that President Uhuru Kenyatta revoke the legislators nomination with immediate effect as he had over stepped his mandate.

During the protests held a few meters from the senators home, an effigy of the senator was burnt by demonstrators disowning the senators remarks.

The angry residents said that Njoroge’s remarks did not represent the interests of the Kikuyu community as a whole..

The protests came barely a month after other residents of Naivasha demonstrated demanding that the Senator be restrained from making such remarks.
