Renowned journalist and show host Jeff Koinange on Thursday night sent a message to human rights activist Boniface Mwangi following the drama that unfolded on his Jeff Koinange Live show on Wednesday night.

During the opening of the Thursday show, Mr Koinange ate humble pie regretting the circus Mr Mwangi was treated to and invited him for a one-hour uninterrupted interview on his bench.

“Before we get to my guest for tonight I have something to say about last night’s show and in particular to Boniface Mwangi. If you are listening or someone is listening please tell him I owe you an hour of an uninterrupted television,” Koinange stated

“Because of what happened last night, Boniface you want to come on the show? You are welcomed to any time we have put security measures in place over here nobody can just walk in anymore,” he added.

The former CNN reporter further thanked Mwangi for his new book promising him that he (Koinange) also needs to give him a copy of his – Through My African Eyes.

On Wednesday, Mwangi walked out of Koinange’s show after Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria walked into the set unannounced.

According to Mwangi, Koinange had lied to him that he would be the only guest on the show.

On Kuria’s arrival, Mwangi stood from the bench and told Koinange that it was time for him to walk out since they had agreed he would be hosted alone.

“And this is the time for me to walk out. You invited me to have a discussion and am done. You invited me and told me to come alone… No, you can’t lie,” Mwangi told Koinange as he daring walked out.

Mr Mwangi noted that: “My values wouldn’t allow me to share a platform with Kuria. I will not share a platform with hate-mongers, thieves, and their apologists. My values are more important than TV airtime.”
