PHOTO:A Woman Attended Raila’s Function In A Jubilee T-shirt
– Opposition leader Raila Odinga was recently made a Kalenjin elder in Uasin Gishu but the installation has been dismissed by some quarters in the Rift Valley
– The installation is said to have been a joke as those who did it were allegedly not authorized. That aside, at the same function, a woman was captured standing close to the CORD leader wearing a Jubilee T-shirt
A controversial photo that could seem like an insult in Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s face is causing a stir online.
The photo was taken in Uasin Gishu where Odinga was made an elder of the Kalenjin community. A doubt was, however, cast on Odinga’s installation by Ainabkoi Member of Parliament Samuel Chepkonga.
“We were surprised to watch Raila dressed in baboon skin instead of the Colobus monkey skin. It was derogatory,” said Chepkonga.
“The installation of a Kalenjin leader is a sacred affair done after meticulous preparation by selected elders. Raila’s installation was not done according to Kalenjin culture,” he added.
It is at the same function that an elderly woman was seen standing close to the CORD leader dressed in a TNA T-shirt.
Did Raila’s team see her? Was she sent by rivals to pass a message that the area was a jubilee zone? Given her age, she could have also dressed that way ignorantly.
We can only speculate.
