Notable American film director, producer, writer, and actor Shelton Jackson “Spike” Lee spent his Christmas holidays planting trees in honor of fallen entertainers and sportsmen at the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya.

The 50-Year-Old filmmaker planted the trees in memory of legendary American boxing champion Muhammad Ali, singer/songwriter Prince, Michael Jackson, Biggie Smalls, David Bowie, Phife Dawg among others.

On social media, Spike Lee shared pictures of the planted trees at the world famous game reserve.

He also posted a picture striking a pose with Maasai morans.

“Happy Holidays From My Brooklyn MASAI Brothers And Me Here In Kenya,Africa. #Safari Joint. YA-DIG? SHO-NUFF,” he wrote on social media.
