Saint Paul, writing to the Corinthians, said the following:
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
This is exactly what the family of Penina Nyambura is feeling having lost Penina a few days ago. Gone. Gone. Gone, after what the family feels was a short period here on earth, yet holding on to a belief that she is gone to be with the Lord for what is eternal.
Penina was a daughter. She was a wife. She was a mother. She was a cousin. she was a niece. She was a friend. Her son, Aaron Miako will dearly miss the mother’s love and embrace. Her husband, Kevin Miako will miss the charming smile from the love of his life. Penina was a treasure.
Penina’s mom, Perpetua Wahome is distraught. Her daughter is gone too soon. We add our faith to that of the family in the belief that all is and will be well.
The community of Kenyans in California will always remember Penina’s disarming and beautiful smile. Her kind and loving heart endeared her to the community. Her joy was infectious.
We have lost an amazing woman. Death has robbed us a jewel. Penina gave her life to serving others, as a nurse. This is telling of how selfless she was.
The family needs your help. They need comfort. They need financial support. Their hearts are aching and in sorrow.
