Seventh wife: Meet Jacob Zuma’s 24-year-old bride
Former South African President Jacob Zuma could be retired, but his heart is reportedly all in on a new bride.
Wedding bells are reportedly ringing for Zuma, 76, who is said to be eying his seventh bride Nonkanyiso Conco, 24.
Conco confirmed the news to TimesLive and is said to have given birth to Zuma’s 23rd child at a private hospital in Durban. He had already sired 22 children with 11 different women.
She will be Zuma’s youngest wife joining Sizakele Khumalo-Zuma, Tobeka Madiba-Zuma, Gloria Bongi Ngema-Zuma and Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma.
Gloria Bongi Ngema-Zuma is estranged after being accused of being a conspirator in in a plot to poison the former head of state.
So who is Conco?
Well, according to South African media, she is the director at the Nomukhubalwe Culture and Youth Development Organisation based in Pietermaritzburg. The organization aims to protect cultural practices of young Zulu women.
She is said to have caught Zuma’s eye long ago after attending the Umkhosi woMhlanga (Zulu Reed Dance) for many years.
She is believed to have worked as an intern at a Zulu-language newspaper in Durban during her student years at Varsity College Durban North in 2014 – 2015.
Conco, a student, is said to live at an exclusive Hilltop Estate at the Zimbali Coastal Estate near Ballito according to News24.
She also drives posh cars, boasts exquisite trips abroad and caps it all with a posh flat that she used toi live in overlooking the Durban harbor.
