The Pan African Diaspora Women’s Association (PADWA) is pleased to announce the first annual Summer STEAM Camp for students in grades 5-8 in the Washington, DC area. The program will be held on August 10, 2018 at National Collegiate Preparatory Public Charter School, 4600 Livingston Rd SE Washington, DC 20032.
Building off the success of Marvel’s hit movie “Black Panther”, this year’s theme is “Building Wakanda with the Next Generation”. In the 21st Century, skills in science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM) are essential for people of all ages and for the economic growth and stability of our community. PADWA has a goal to bring together students grades 5-8, engaging them in hands-on activities and giving them a view of exciting STEM careers.
