Raila Odinga – African Union’s High Representative for Infrastructure Development – on Saturday joined the family and friends of former Molo MP John Njenga Mungai at the wedding of their son.

Accompanied by his daughter Rosemary, Odinga graced the wedding held at the Nairobi Academy and wished the couple – Daniel Kamau and Evelyn Mueni – a blessed union.

Mungai represented Molo constituency for 20 years during the KANU era, unsuccessfully vied for the Nakuru County Senate seat on an ODM ticket in 2017.

Rosemary, 41, was making a second public appearance in two years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She first reappeared in Kibera early this month in support of a Korean NGO – I Love Africa Project- where they donated 60 sewing machines to the Raila Odinga Educational Centre.

At the event, she disclosed that she was slowing gaining her confidence after losing her eyesight.

“I am still struggling to adapt to the new changes, having lost my sight during my illness. I have had support from everybody around me for which I am very grateful. I will continue to do what my heart most desires – to empower women in our country,” said Rosemary
