Kenyan Woman Marcylinda Chebet Remains in Critical Condition in Thailand
The family of Marcylinda Chebet, a young Kenyan woman from Sorghum Olmekenyu in Narok South, is making an urgent appeal for financial assistance as she continues to fight for her life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Nakornping Hospital in Thailand.
Marcylinda has been hospitalized for nearly a month after being diagnosed with a severe liver condition that has left her in critical condition. Her illness has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on her family, who are now appealing to Kenyans both at home and across the diaspora to help save her life and eventually bring her back to Kenya.
A Journey Abroad in Search of Better Opportunities
Like many young Kenyans seeking greener pastures, Marcylinda relocated to Thailand last year in search of employment opportunities and a better future.
She is an alumna of Matemu Academy, Kongotik Girls High School in Bomet County, and later pursued further studies at RVIST in Nakuru before moving abroad.
Unfortunately, her dreams were interrupted after she developed a serious liver illness that required immediate hospitalization.
