Sonko positioning himself for senator or governor of Nairobi
Makadara MP Gideon Mbuvi aka Sonko was overheard telling his supporters he hopes to upgrade his position from MP to either senator or governor of Nairobi. Sonko said he is positioning himself for the big post and has since enrolled in school to get a degree ahead of the elections next year. He is said to have enrolled for a sociology degree at the UoN.
That Philip Kisia has hit the road in search of votes for governorship of Nairobi is not a secret. The Nairobi Central Business District Association former chairman has been meeting political players in his bid to win their support. At the weekend he spent time with some city fathers who even escorted him to California Grounds in Eastleigh for some function and those close to him have whispered that Kisia is working on a major plan before he officially launches his governorship bid.
Students of a Polytechnic in Koru, Muhoroni, are appealing to the Minister for Higher Education to crack down on immoral practices by staff. The students claim a couple of their instructors “lock themselves up in one of their offices where they make out”. They say the duo have been caught on several occasions kissing openly in the dressmaking room.
