President Mwai Kibaki has appointed the Kajiado North Member of Parliament Moses Ole Sakuda Assistant Minister for Regional development.
In a statement by the Presidential Press Service (PPS), Ole Sakuda’s appointment in the Ministry takes effect immediately.
“The appointment of the Kajiado North MP as an Assistant Minister takes effect immediately,” read the statement.
Ole Sakuda has been appointed to replace Katoo Ole Metito who has since then been appointed the Minister for Internal Security following the death of the then Minister Professor George Saitoti.
Ole Sakuda was elected during the August by election to fill the vacuum left by the late Prof. Saitoti.
Ole Sakuda will now serve to deputise Westlands legislator Fred Gumo who is the Minister for Regional Development.
