Sonko and Shebesh warming up to join Raila-Kalonzo axis

Friday December 7, 2012 – Nominated MP Rachael Shebesh and Makadara legislator Mike Sonko are warming up to the Coalition for Reform and Democracy, spearheaded by Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.

The two MPs who are bonafide members of Uhuru Kenyatta’s bandwagon The National Alliance (TNA) met the Premier and VP at the latter’s offices in Jogoo House for more than an hour on Thursday.

The move came after news went out that Uhuru Kenyatta, who is running for Presidency, may step down for Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi – a thing which has not augured well with TNA MPs including Shebesh and Sonko.

Sonko and Shebesh sent clear indications that if Uhuru Kenyatta steps down for Mudavadi, they may join the CORD alliance soon.
