Nairobi, Kenya: Jimnah Mbaru will now contest for Nairobi governor seat on Kiraitu Murungi’s Alliance Party of Kenya.

Mbaru defected to APK party after being defeated by former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu in The National Alliance primaries last week.

He will battle it out with Waititu and ODM’s Evans Kidero.

He later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IMD in Switzerland in 1978 and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Hons) from the University of Nairobi in 2002, graduating at the top of his class
