Sunday February 10,2013 –ย South African Nobel Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu once said, “When people decide to be free, then nothing, nothing in the world, could stop them!”
ย
In 1950โs and 1960โs Kenya freedom fighters fought for liberation of this country and inย ย 1963, Kenya attained independence from Britain.
It was dedication and sacrifice that made the freedom heroes win the colonial war, where thousands of Kenyans died and countless number of women raped.
50 years after the independence, the same people who killed, maimed and raped our forefathers are now threatening the country with economic sanctions.
The US and Britain have threatened Kenyans on electing Jubilee supremos Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto saying there are โconsequences of electing International Criminal Court (ICC) indicteesโ.
According to the Law of Unintended Consequences, the Britain and US sermons appear to have, unfortunately, created a siege mentality and ethnic nationalism among supporters of Uhuru and Ruto to an extent that the more US and Britain threaten, the more votes are galvanised for Jubilee alliance.
The US and Britain should understand that mass consciousness can only be delayed but not stopped!
