Kimemia takes on Johnstone Muthama for demeaning President Kibaki

Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia has dismissed the statement made at the Cord final rally at Nyayo National Stadium by former Kangundo MP Johnstone Muthama towards president Mwai Kibaki’s leadership style and has demanded an apology from him.

In a statement to the newsroom Saturday evening Kimemia said “In his tenure the president has conducted government business with utmost integrity and professionalism. He leaves an indelible and enviable track record in equitable development and governance”

Kimemia says Kenya now stands tall in the region and beyond in all fronts including infrastructure, human capital development, policy legal and institutional reforms and development.

The public service boss says Kenya budgetary disbursement is one of the most equitable in the region taking poverty index and marginality into cognizance.

“It is shameful and unbelievable that Muthama used such demeaning and abusive words to the president who has remained non partisan/preferential to party or candidate” Kimemia said.

“We executed grand coalition government policies without bias and Muthama was one of our chief whips Why isolate abuse His Excellency now?” he posed.

During the rally the former MP referred to President Kibaki as a tribalist.
