In his usual spirit of helping the poor and the forgotten,Mike Sonko Mbuvi yesterday rescued over 105 women who had given birth and were unable to clear there maternity bills hence were held in hospital 4 a long period.
At Pumwani Maternity Hospital Sonko paid bills for almost 60 mothers and at Mama Lucy Hospital he paid bills for almost 47 mothers. In addition to paying their maternity bills he also paid their enrollment fees for NHIF plus paid 3 months in advance as a sensational motivation so that in future they will be able to cater for their medical bills.
