MOMBASA Governor Hassan Joho led in votes counted in the scrutiny of 192 disputed polling stations as ordered by an election court. The Deputy Registrar of Mombasa High Court, S. K Gacheru said the three weeks scrutiny ended on Wednesday evening.
He said the partial scrutiny involved 192 polling stations out of the over 600 polling stations in the county. Gacheru said the scrutiny reduced Johoโs final total tally from the original 132,583 to 132,507 votes.
Shahbal garnered 94,905 votes but now he has 94,918 following the scrutiny. Joho has led with 46,735 votes against Suleiman Shahbalโs 25,400 from the scrutinised stations.
