President Uhuru Kenyatta said that he will not sign the oppressive medial bill into law until the contentious issues are resolved. The president says that he has no intention to gag the mediaย and that ย press freedom should be maintained.
The majority leader in parliament will have a talk with the media stakeholders on the issue and rectify the contentious clauses in the bill meant to oppress the press.
