President Salva Kiir has declared a state of emergency following the escalation of the ongoing armed clashes between his forces and those of rebel leader, sacked vice president Dr. Riek Machar. This in the backdrop of peace talks which are set to begin anytime in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
