Through the initiative, the First Lady seeks to mobilise resources for purchase of mobile clinics to augment the existing health services and therefore make healthcare accessible to underprivileged Kenyans.
Margaret said mothers and children should not be left to die from pneumonia, malaria, diarrhoea, HIV transmitted from their mothers and other avoidable causes.โToo few of us know enough about HIV transmission from mothers to children, or about improving maternal, newborn and child health. If we donโt raise awareness, nothing will change,โ she said.
