Man fined for throwing tantrums in a Kenya Airways plane

A man has been fined for throwing tantrums in a Kenya Airways plane. Rodgers Sure Oketch was tried at a city court for causing disturbance in the KQ plane when it landed at JKIA.

He insulted the passengers and crew and had been labeled as a security risk when he landed at the airport on March 20. Oketch, while on board the KQ flight from Dar-Salaam to Nairobi, used the words “stupid, s**t, f***k against the passengers. Police said he was making his way to the toilet at the back of the plane that was about to land.

And when a hostess told him to wait until the plane lands at JKIA, he agreed and requested to sit at back row. But a few minutes later, passengers called the crew complaining that the man was insulting them and had used the ‘F’ word repeatedly while shouting at the top of his voice.

He had told the passengers he could not be ordered around because he had landed in Kenya and was no longer in a foreign land. Security agents faced a rough time restraining the man as he continued to insult the passengers.

Makadara acting principal magistrate Eunice Nyutu slapped Oketch with Sh10,000 fine or three months in prison if he failed to raise the amount. – The Standard.
