Rose Muhando, Tanzanian top gospel singer is hiding following several attempts to kill her that have been thwarted in the last couple of weeks.
Tanzania’s media report that the singer who is one of the most accomplished gospel worshippers in East Africa has had to move houses, from Dodoma where she is based and lives to Dar es Salaaam where it is thought she is much safer.
According to Rose Muhando’s handler Alex Msama, “Those people are not good. For a while now, they have been planing to harm Rose. A good example is on April 3 and 4 this year, they set a trap to kidnap Rose from her hotel in Dar es Salaam but they were thwarted.”
The people baying for her blood are said to have attempted to kidnap the singer yet again on April 6 at Usharika wa Magomeni where she was at the KKT Church for a performance.
Sources in the know about the issue indicate that this may be a consequence of a deal gone sour between the singer and a former business partner.
