Kalonzo defends call for referendum

kalonzo030614Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has today responded to critics who have said Saba Saba was an anti-climax. He said it was the beginning of action to liberate this country.

Kalonzo said they are pursuing the referendum agenda to address the problems Kenyans are facing and protect the constitution, which Kenyans overwhelmingly voted for.

He said it is time to act since the Jubilee government has refused to dialogue with the opposition. Kalonzo said the referendum agenda has been outlined in the 13-point agenda stipulated during the Saba Saba rally.

Kalonzo said the parties within Cord will soon meet to strengthen the stand. He was speaking at Kisekini AIC Church during an Harambee yesterday.

The Wiper Leader was accompanied by Kitui Senator David Musila, Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, Kitui women’s representative Nyiva Mwendwa, MPs Makali Mulu, Major Mutua Muluvi and Joe Mutambu.The leaders said they have decided unanimously to push for the tarmacking of Kitui – Kibwezi road.
