Cord leader Raila Odinga has stepped up efforts to seal internal cracks in his party sparked by persistent leadership wrangles. Raila will for the second time in five weeks meet 96 MPs and 16 senators to rally them to back the push for constitutional amendments.
The meeting at Orange House will also discuss disciplinary measures against rebel legislators opposed to the referendum. “You are invited to a meeting on Thursday at Orange House from 9am,” reads a text message sent to ODM legislators and signed off by executive director Magerer Lang’at.
