Migori, Kenya:ย ODM has condemned the heckling of President Uhuru on Monday in Migori.
The ODM Secretary General Anyangโ Nyong’o in a statement sent to newsrooms, condemned the chaos that erupted during the Presidentโs tour in Migori and asked ODMย supporters to accord the President the respect he deserves.
โOn behalf of the ODM and the people of Kenya as a whole, I would like to condemn this type of behaviour and to plead to our people to always give the President the respect he deserves,โ read part of the statement.
The President had gone to Migori to launch a series of projects when during a public meeting, a group of youth started heckling at the Migori governor as they did not want him to address them.
They rowdy youths started chanting ODM slogans and throwing shoes at the dias prompting the security detail to push them away.
The President however went ahead and addressed the crowd briefly and later left hurriedly.
