Business came to a standstill in Kisii town as a large crowd of people came out to see President Uhuru Kenyatta as he walked on the streets for a meet and greet tour of the County.
I don’t know of a more humble and down-to-earth president than our own Uhuru Kenyatta. His lowly and highly sociable character makes him go down to act like any other mere citizen. Last week he took a trek down Kibera slums just to ensure that the clean-up and upgrade program he started was taking place.
Yesterday, the president visited Kisii with a mission to meet and greet the great residents of the county. In a rare twist of events, the head of state opted to leave his presidential car and walk on the streets, something which many people did not expect from him.
