Kenyan citizen was leading Al Shabaab AU base attackers
According to an audio produced and posted in Pro Al Shabaab militant group media Somali Memo, A Kenyan citizen was leading the group attack targeted at African Union main base in Somali capital Mogadishu.
Thursday last week attack by the group on Halane base killed all attackers and three AMISOM soldiers and one civilian contractor.
The 11 minute audio which was recorded before the attack features the Kenyan Omar Said who said is prepared to die by attacking what he terms as infidels and enemies of Islam.
Kenyan who speaks in broken Somali further says that he is motivated by his dream while in heaven days before the attack.
Other names of the attackers reveal in the audio are Ibrahim Salad, Moahmed Sheikh and Omar Said all Somali citizens.
Kenyan government believes that there are significant citizens among the ranks of Al Shabaab in Somalia that are facilitating the retaliatory attacks back home.
Al Shabaab militant group has also previously confirmed number of trained Kenyans among its fighters in Somalia.
