Blogger Abraham Mutai released after twitter. CID officers have released a blogger arrested on Saturday in Mombasa for highlighting corruption in government.

Abraham Mutai was held at Muthaiga police station and later transferred to CID headquarters on Sunday where he was questioned over his twitter posts.

Mutai who microblog on Twitter as @ItsMutai was released on a personal free bond, he is expected to report back to the CID on Monday.

Mutai faces charges of misusing a licensed telecommunication equipment to cause anxiety.

The new charge has seen a number of bloggers taken to court for various charges after Jubilee coalition formed government.

The blogger has been vocal in Social Media through posting alleged corruption deals in county governments and at GDC.
