Former Rangwe MP Philip Okundi has asked the IEBC to nullify Moses Kajwang’s victory in the Thursday Homa Bay senator by-election.
Okundi, who vied on a Maendeleo Democratic Party ticket, said he has lodged a complaint over voter bribery with the IEBC.
He said he will petition the commission again, and seek redress from court if the ODM candidate’s win is not cancelled.
He spoke at Agricultural Farmers’ Training Centre where tallying took place on Thursday night.
Okundi, who lost to Kajwang’, added that agents were harassed and the poll rigged.
He said his agent Joseph Owaka was marched out of Marina polling station in Homa Bay town.
He further claimed that ODM officials campaigned outside polling stations in Kabondo Kasipul, defying a directive by the IEBC.
Former Rangwe legislator Martin Ogindo also claimed that the exercise was not credible.
He said he will fight to have the results reversed.
Bernard Otieno, who came fourth, conceded defeat.
He said in his concession speech that he will use the outcome as a platform for future political exploits.
Kajwang’ said he will now join party leader Raila Odinga in the push for democracy.
He said he will also join the Okoa Kenya referendum bid for an increase in fund allocations to counties.
