Seif Salim, Elvis Kipkorir and Clifford Ogeto from the University of Eldoret are this year’s representative to the Unilever Global Future Leaders’ League contest to be held in London between March 16th and 20th this year.
The trio won the 2014 Kenyan edition of ‘Idea Trophy’, an inter-university innovation competition that targets undergraduate in Kenyan universities will be up against 30 other teams including their African peers from Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and Ivory Coast.
The competition requires students to generate innovative ideas on creating brand awareness and growing product usage.
Marc Engel, Unilever CEO for East Africa said the Global Future Leaders’ League competition covers creativity and innovation, opportunities for international engagement and dedication to a cause, which are the three key qualities students look for in an employer.
“Embedded within this unique leadership challenge is our Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, Unilever’s blueprint for sustainable growth. Here you will have the chance to understand a leading business from the inside, to be developed by our top leaders and to start building the skills you need to become a future leader,” he added.
