A bishop invoked divine intervention to get rid of a swarm of bees that attacked residents during Deputy President William Rutoโs fundraising at the Coast.
Ruto, who was the chief guest during the fund drive for churches in Kwale County held on June 14, was forced to cut short his speech as people scampered for safety from the bees that descended on the crowd.
It was then that Bishop Morris Mwarandu of the Lordโs Gathering Centre associated with the Redeemed Gospel Church started praying and rebuking the bees, which surprisingly seemed to heed his commands and flew away soon after.
โI want to assure you that the problems you are facing in Rift valley will come to an end. You should not be worried as they shall be overcome in the same way the bees have been subdued,โ the bishop told Ruto. The fundraiser was attended by, among others, National Assembly ย Majority Leader Aden Duale, MPs Gideon Mungโaro, Mustafa Iddi, Hari Kombe, Dan Kazungu, Zainab Chizuga, Gonzi Rai and Kwale MCA Mweruphe Ndoro.
