Sonu chairman Babu Owino will spend Sh2million on vodka, whiskey and other alcoholic drinks during his birthday party on Saturday.
In the provisional budget seen by the Star on Monday, the student leader indicated he will spend Sh14.4million to cater for the October 10 party.
“Whiskey will cost Sh845,900, vodka Sh713,050 and Sh367,450 will be spent on other alcoholic drinks,” read the budget.
According to the document,ย non-alcoholicย drinks, bottled mineral water, ice cubes,ย foodย and snacks will cost a total of Sh3.6million.
The party will be attended by foreign guests, including Hon Julius Malema and a delegation from South Africa at a cost of Sh1.7million, while Sh1.1million has been allocated to “special guests from Ethiopia for VIPs”.
The guests will be transported to and from the venue, which will be communicated later, in two Chrysler Limousines at a cost of Sh290,000.
Security will consist 124 bouncers at Sh558,000, gifts to all guests will cost Sh150,000 and “tools for enjoyment” Sh300,000.
Four MCs, includingย Jalang’o, and twoย Djsย will provide entertainment atย Sh600,000,ย while Sh1 million will be spent on seven local musicians, two pastors from Uganda and a Sheikh from Rwanda.
