In true festive spirit, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son Muhoho this week made a surprise visit to Kenyatta National Hospital where delivered Christmas goodies and spent hours with patients at the facility.
Muhoho, who was accompanied by a female friend, visited the cancer ward and maternity wing at the hospital that is named after his grandfather – Mzee Jomo Kenyatta – who was the first President of Kenya.
Muhoho gave out Sh1 million and equipment, including two refrigerators and towels as Christmas gifts to the patients at the hospital.
Muhoho, who is President Kenyatta’s first born son, is the most visible of the first family’s children.
He has in the past been pictured along his father on official assignments and during foreign trips.
He particularly caught the media’s attention in July during US President Barack Obama’s visit to Kenya when the American president held a lengthy chat with him upon arrival at the airport.
He was also part of the president’s entourage during a recent state visit to Uganda.
