The flambouyant Senator announced the new programme in a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.

“My team has launched a new program that offers free driving, swimming, keep fit, sports and computer lessons and we will be picking up and dropping off the kids using our teams’ double decker buses which have a capacity of carrying 150 pupils per trip,” the Senator wrote.

Lessons will be conducted by professional tutors.

The ‘Sonko Rescue Team’  is set to open a registration centre at Uhuru Park that will manage the programme.

Senator Sonko also posted a video that showed the never-seen-before interior of his mansion.

The video starts with his young daughter exercising in a gym that is complete with state of the art equipment.

The camera then tilts to the Olympic-size swimming pool outside, then to the parking lot where there is a fleet of vehicles parked.

At one point the young girl is seen driving around in one of the cars.
