Kenyan scholar, Juliet Torome, has been honoured by an American university for her exemplary academic achievements.

The California State University East Bay erected roadside banners with Torome’s image on them.

The act was a way to celebrate the former Star newspaper writer’s excellence in her academics.

Torome is set to graduate with two degrees in Political Science and International Studies. โ€ช

CSUEB is a public university located in the eastern region of the San Francisco Bay Area.

It’s a part of the 23-campus California State University system and offers 136 undergraduate and 60 post-baccalaureate areas of study.

The institution was designated a top-tier institution among master’s-granting universities in the west by U.S. News & World Report.

It’s also been recognised as a ‘Best in the West’ college by the Princeton Review.

CSUEB was founded in 1957.
