Did Ken Lusaka pull a fast one on Ababu Namwamba?

Has Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka just pulled a fast one against outgoing ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba ? Barely a day after the two held a meeting at the latter’s office on Sunday, that was also attended by Sirisia MP John Waluke to drum up support for a political union, Lusaka did not waste time championing the resolution that his New Ford Kenya party will dissolve to join the Jubilee Party. The meeting the three held was to form a force to “reckon with” in Western Kenya, independent of Cord and Jubilee.

So who is blocking the recruitment of cadets at the Foreign Affairs ministry? Fingers are being pointed at a senior official who was posted to the ministry only months ago. Sources whisper to Corridors that the said officer has also blocked scholarships for ministry staff. There are fears the prestigious scholarships could be withdrawn by the sponsoring countries. Staff members are wondering whether Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed is in the know. However, it is also whispered that Mohamed and the officer are not the best of friends.

Is former National Youth Council chairman Clement Ayungo giving Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang’ sleepless nights? Well, the MP was overheard pleading with his colleagues and other politicians to help him retain his seat in 2017 during an ODM rally in Migori Stadium on Friday. The legislator is said to have pin-pointed Ayungo, who has declared an interest in the seat, saying he was giving him a run for his money because of his youth mobilisation skills. But the MPs said they could not assure TJ of their support since “we also have fierce opponents whom we must deal with”.
