A fistfight broke out on Fridayย morning during a Jubilee Partyย meeting at Ufungamano house, Nairobi.
The meeting of the Nairobi Members of County Assemblyย and aspirants had been called to welcome those willing to shift from other parties to the Coalition.
A disagreement arose when members of a different factionย stormed into the venueย accusing the event organisersย of holding the meeting irregularly.
One group vowedย it would not allow the meeting to be run by Mr Mutinda Kavemba, a Nairobi Senatorial aspirant who had decamped from the Wiper Party, terming him an outsider.
The situation turned violent as the angry delegatesย shoved each other while those opposed to the meeting occupiedย the stage declaring they wouldn’t leave until the eventย was cancelled.
The meeting was prematurely cancelledย with some of the leaders leavingย hurriedly asย irate youth chased them out.
They accused a section of City leaders of hiring goonsย to disrupt the meeting with others alleging of a plot to replace them in the Jubilee Coalition.
